Arkansas to host Fayetteville regional tourney

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas has punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 35th time in program history.

Arkansas (43-14), the No. 5 national seed and top seed in the Fayetteville Regional

Other teams in the tournament are, is set to host second-seeded Louisiana Tech (45-17), third-seeded Kansas State (32-24) and fourth-seeded SEMO (34-25).

The tournament is held from May 31-June 3 at Baum-Walker Stadium. Arkansas will open tournament play against SEMO at 2 p.m. Friday on ESPN+.

The Razorbacks, hosting a regional for the 11th time in program history and the sixth time in the last seven seasons.

Arkansas  will maintain home-field advantage through the super regional round and host at Baum-Walker Stadium for the seventh time overall and the fifth time since 2018 if they are to advance.

Arkansas is 33-3 overall (.917 winning percentage) at Baum-Walker Stadium this year – one win shy of tying its single-season home win record of 34, which was set in 2018.

The winner of the Fayetteville Regional will play the winner of the Charlottesville Regional in the best-of-three-game super regional from June 7-9 or June 8-10.

No. 12 national seed and top-seeded Virginia (41-15) hosts second-seeded Mississippi State (38-21), third-seeded St. John’s (37-16-1) and fourth-seeded Pennsylvania (24-23) in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The Razorbacks are one of a record 11 SEC teams among this year’s NCAA Tournament field.

Arkansas is joined by Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

This year marks the first time that 11 teams from any conference have earned NCAA Baseball Tournament bids. The previous SEC record was 10 teams, most recently in 2023.
