HOWE – The Howe School Board will meet in a regular meeting 6 p.m. Monday in the Howe Administration Building at 21444 E. North Railroad Street.

Here is the agenda:

  1. Opening flag salute.
  2. Invocation.
  3. Call meeting to order and record members present.
  4. Approve or disapprove agenda items for regular board meeting May 9, 2022.
  5. Approve or disapprove minutes for the regular school board meeting April 11, 2022.
  6. Resignations as approved by the superintendent.
  7. Approve or disapprove the following encumbrances: General fund P.O. #s421-446; payroll 70183-70266; building fund # none.
  8. Approve or disapprove superintendent’s financial report.
  9. Superintendent’s report: a. facilities update; b. grants.
  10. Principals’ report on current status of their programs and scheduled events or activities.
  11. Approve or disapprove Choctaw Nation POSSE program and associated extra-duty as reported by superintendent.
  12. Approve or disapprove the summer school nutrition program, mid-level and high school summer school and associated extra-duties as presented by the superintendent.
  13. Approve or disapprove extra-duty contract for day care services and summer day care hourly duties as presented by the superintendent.
  14. Discussion/action on the following staff needs for the 2022-2023 school year: Employment of certified staff as presented by the superintendent; LCSD school resource officer program; appoint Jordan Thompson as treasurer beginning June 1; adjunct teacher application for Leigh Cooper, Angela Horn and Jessica Wiggington.
  15. Appoint or disapprove 2021-2022 school year fundraisers and activities as presented by the superintendent.
  16. Approve or disapprove OSSBA board policy updates as presented by superintendent.
  17. Approve or disapprove an agreement between Howe Public School and the Center for Education Law for basic legal services during the 2022-2023 school year.
  18. Board member comments.
  19. Vote to adjourn.
