Arkoma, Keota split games

Arkoma and Keota split a pair of basketball games Thursday night at Arkoma.

Keota’s girls downed Arkoma, 62-22, in the opener before the Mustangs earned the split with a 51-39 victory in the second contest.

Girls

In the girls’ game, Keota jumped ahead early and kept building the lead. Kaitlyn Glascow scored all five points for Arkoma in the first half and finished with eight points and six rebounds, Ema Lenard added four points, Hannah Killion had three points, Ella Smithson, Alyssa Wells and Ellery Oosahwe each finished with two points.

The Lady Mustangs are 1-12 while Keota improves to 13-2.

Boys

The Mustangs trailed 23-21 at halftime before taking a 35-32 lead at the end of the third quarter and extending the lead in the final period. Deuce Walden scored 28 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, had seven assists and four steals. Braylen Andrews added 10 points.

Up next

Arkoma is 8-7 while Keota is 6-9. Arkoma is scheduled to host Buffalo Valley Friday.
