Arkoma sweeps pair from Bokoshe

Arkoma closed out the regular season Tuesday by sweeping Bokoshe in high school basketball action.

Arkoma’s girls won the opener, 52-23, before the Mustangs completed the sweep with a 60-26 victory.

Arkoma hosts Class A districts Friday. Bokoshe is taking part in Class B districts this week.

Girls

The Lady Mustangs grabbed a 13-4 lead after a quarter before extending the advantage to 31-12 at the half before cruising to the win in the second half.

Kiarra Butler led Arkoma with 11 points, Rylee Hayes and Kaitlyn Glasgow both scored 10.

Boys

The Mustangs also got off to a fast start en route to the easy win. Arkoma led 18-6 at the end of a quarter and 41-12 at halftime.

Deuce Waldon paced Arkoma with 24 points and Braylen Andrews added 10.
