Child abuse awareness month approved

POTEAU – The front lawn of the LeFlore County Courthouse will be aflutter with colorful pinwheels in observance of Child Abuse Awareness Month for the rest of April, in accordance with a motion approved by county commissioners on Monday.
Trinity Home Rental will handle the Monroe Community Center remodeling project.
Commissioners on Monday approved Trinity’s $35,000 bid, which was the only bid submitted for the job. The work is being paid through a REAP grant administered by Kiamichi Economic Development District.
