Church golf league set to start

Church league golf was started at Choctaw Country Club in the summer of 2007. It is a great way for Christian golfers of all abilities to enjoy fellowship and fun with other golfers from the area while playing in a weekly golf scramble, shamble or alternate shot round.

The 2022 church league golf season starts 6 p.m. June 6. The league lasts approximately eight weeks and is held every Monday night.

Entry fee for the two-person team is $75 per team. Non members of CCC will pay a $5 weekly green fee. Teams will consist of the two players in one of three flights: two men (men’s flight), one man and one woman (co-ed flight) and a senior flight.

Flights may vary based on the number of entries. Teams will be flighted after the fourth week of play. Team members should be regular attendees to their church, and everybody is encouraged to remember this is for fellowship. A substitute may be used when necessary, but the substitute must be age or gender appropriate for the flight you are playing in. Substitutes may sub for more than one team.

Each congregation may enter as many teams as they choose.
