TALIHINA. – Kiamichi Tech – Talihina has named Taylor Clardy, a student in the health careers education program, as the student of the month for October.
She is in her first year at Kiamichi Tech. Clardy is active in HOSA Future Health Professionals and is one of her class representatives on the student advisory committee. She said her favorite part of coming to Kiamichi Tech is the support and love she receives from the teachers, staff and other students.
“Taylor is very responsible and optimistic,” said Tasia Peden, the Health Careers Education instructor at Kiamichi Tech – Talihina. “She volunteers to help others in class, takes initiative to help the instructor, and is always willing to volunteer for community service events.”
Clardy received a check from Jerod Rose, an agent with Shelter Insurance.
“We would like to thank Jerod Rose – Shelter Insurance for sponsoring Kiamichi Tech – Talihina’s student of the month,” said Justin Kennedy, campus director.
