Commissioners’ minutes 1-21-2025

The LeFlore County commissioners met in a regular business meeting Tuesday with Chairman Jamie Oliver presiding. Also present were Vice-Chair Vallard Campbell, Member Josh Blaylock and County Clerk Kelli Ford.

The following action was taken by the board:

  • Chairman Jamie Oliver called meeting to order.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve the minutes of regular meeting held January 13, 2025. Motion was approved all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve purchase orders as presented and are on file in the office of the Conty Clerk. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Monthly Fee Reports: None presented.
  • Transfers of Appropriations: None presented.
  • Blanket Purchase Orders: None presented.
  • New Business: No discussion.
  • Contract Labor/Service Agreements, Annual Contracts: None Presented.
  • Burn Ban. Not needed at this time. No discussion.
  • Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve 324 A Claim in the amount of $4,387.50 as submitted by Pinnacle Consulting Management Group regarding project STP-240C(112)CI parcels 3, 3.1, & 3.2. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Due to the absence of any submitted Declarations of Candidacy for the position representing LeFlore County District 1 on the LeFlore County Fair Association Board of Directors, motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve appointment of Jansen Hambright as a member of the LeFlore County Fair Association Board of Directors. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to forward Tort Claim as submitted by Tiffany Jorgensen regarding property damage to LeFlore County Insurance provider ACCO. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve addition of Janet Clemons as Requisitioning Officer to all Octavia Fire Department accounts. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution and Bid Notice advertising to accept sealed bids regarding the purchase of a truck to benefit the Summerfield Fire Department. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Surplus of County equipment records as submitted by LeFlore County Commissioner Highway Department District 2 regarding the below mentioned items as follows:
    1. D2-348-039, BELSHE trailer, with original purchase price of $16,150, purchased from BELSHE Industries on 05/24/2012;
    2. D2-301.075, 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, with original purchase price of $17,400, purchased from city Chevrolet, Inc. on 05/01/2002;
    3. D2-320.007, Hyster Compactor, with original purchase price of $32,985, purchased from unknown vendor on 04/07/1980;
    4. D2-301.078, 2004 Chevrolet Truck, with original purchase price of $16,738, purchased from Smith Chevrolet on 06/04/2004;

Motion was approved, all voting yes.  

  • Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Resolution and Bid Notice advertising to accept sealed bids regarding the sale of a 2007 Chevy Silverado Truck to benefit LeFlore County Commissioner District 2. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard to approve Resolution and Bid Notice advertising to accept sealed bids regarding the construction of a building/shed for the purpose of holding county equipment to benefit LeFlore County Commissioner District # 3. Moton was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Jamie Oliver to approve Resolution and Bid Notice advertising to accept sealed bids regarding the construction of a building/shed for the purpose of holding county equipment to benefit LeFlore County Commissioner District # 1. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
