The LeFlore County commissioners met in a regular business meeting Monday with Chairman Jamie Oliver presiding. Also present were Vice-Chair Vallard Campbell, Member Josh Blaylock and County Clerk First Deputy Jedd Kirby. County Clerk Kelli Ford was absent.
The following action was taken by the board:
- Chairman Jamie Oliver called meeting to order.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve the minutes of regular meeting held January 27, 2025. Motion was approved all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve purchase orders as presented and are on file in the office of the County Clerk. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve monthly fee reports as presented by the LeFlore County Clerk, Solid Waste and Health Departments. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve transfer of appropriations as follows:
- $2,192.08 from Lease and Rental to Maintenance and Operations within the Murry Spur Fire Department accounts. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve blanket purchase orders as presented and are on file in the office of the County Clerk. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- New Business: No discussion.
- Contract Labor/Service Agreements, Annual Contracts: None Presented.
- Burn Ban. Not needed at this time. No discussion.
- Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Resolution regarding replacement of LeFlore County District 2 Appointment Robert (Bob) Edgbert with Brent Paul as member to the LeFlore County EMS Board. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Programming Resolution for CBRI construction project # 25-CBRI-D2-P079, related to improvements on Bud French Road and Dunbar Road in LeFlore County Commissioner District 2. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve plat map(s) for the proposed Liberty Flats subdivision, located in Muse, Oklahoma as submitted by Joe Painter with Liberty Flatts, LLC. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Treasurer’s Monthly Report of Officers for the month of January, 2025. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve resolution regarding updating officer designations, changing Requisitioning Officer Marc Fitzpatrick to Jay Sommers and updating Receiving Officers from Ryan Rollison & David Alexander to Marc Fitzpatrick & Tim Skinner concerning all Poteau Fire Department accounts. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution determining Maximum Monthly Highway Expenditures for the month of February, 2025. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Form 969 in accordance with Title 62 Section 193, as submitted by the LeFlore County Assessor, regarding Loss of Revenue due to the Veteran’s Exemption allowed for the year 2024. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to award bid regarding the purchase of a 1-Ton Truck to benefit LeFlore County Summerfield Fire Department, to S.O.S. Fire & Equipment in the amount of $33,962.50. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
- Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Jamie Oliver to award bid regarding the construction of a storage facility to benefit LeFlore County Commissioner District 1 to Don’s Construction in the amount of $81,285.00. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
Motion was then further made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to award bids regarding the construction of a storage facility to benefit LeFlore County Commissioner Districts 3 to Don’s Construction in the amount of $78,285.00. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
