Commissioners’ minutes for 1-27-2025

LeFlore County commissioners

The LeFlore County commissioners met in a regular business meeting Monday with Vice-Chairman Vallard Campbell presiding. Also present were Member Josh Blaylock, County Commissioners District 3 First Deputy Donnie Brown, and County Clerk Kelli Ford. Absent: Board of County Commissioner Chairman Jamie Oliver.

The following action was taken by the board:

  • Vice-Chairman Vallard Campbell called meeting to order.
  • Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve the minutes of regular meeting held January 21, 2025. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve purchase orders as presented and are on file in the office of the Conty Clerk. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Monthly Fee Reports: None presented.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Transfer of Appropriations in the amount of $72,000 from Solid Waste maintenance and operations account to Solid Waste lease and rental account. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Blanket Purchase Orders: None presented.
  • New Business: No discussion.
  • Contract Labor/Service Agreements, Annual Contracts: None Presented.
  • Burn Ban. Not needed at this time. No discussion.
  • After holding public hearing, motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve closing all of Yeller Tan Lane lying in or adjacent to Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 21 East, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Donnie Brown to approve Notice of Public Hearing regarding adopting road known as Oscar Lane, lying in or adjacent to Sections 13 & 24, Township 5 North, Range 25 East, LeFlore County, Oklahoma, as a County Road. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve 324 A Claim regarding James W. Mixon Revocable Trust, erroneously stated as James W. Mizon on Agenda, in the amount of $4,387.50, concerning project # 32899(04), as submitted by Pinnacle Consulting Management Group. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Josh Blaylock and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Request for Floodplain Services as submitted by Summit Utilities regarding utility construction within County right of way located at 401 High school Drive, Panama, Oklahoma 74951. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution allowing County Treasurer to reinvest surplus of County Health Department funds for February, 2025. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Vallard Campbell and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution and Bid Notice advertising to accept sealed bids regarding the purchase of a generator with electrical equipment to benefit the LeFlore County Emergency Management department. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
