Week 5 is another important week for LeFlore County football teams as district play continues for all the teams aside from Arkoma.
Poteau, Panama, Pocola and Talihina won their district openers last week while Heavener, Spiro and Arkoma are looking to bounce back from defeats last week.
Poteau (3-1 and 1-0) is on the road for the second straight week as the Pirates travel to Ada (2-2 and 1-0). The Cougars opened district play by defeating McLain, 41-12, last week.

Heavener (2-2 and 0-1) plays at home for only the second time this year as the Wolves host Prague, also 2-2 and 0-1 after a 28-20 loss to Bethel last week.
Spiro (0-4 and 0-1) is looking for its first win when the Bulldogs travel to Valliant for another Battle of the Bulldogs. Valliant is 1-3 and 1-0 after defeating Antlers last week.
Panama (3-1 and 1-0) will try to stay undefeated in district play as the Razorbacks travel to Hulbert, 1-3 and 0-1.
Pocola is also 3-1 and 1-0 and the Indians’ string of difficult games continues in a road game at Rejoice Christian (3-1 and 1-0).
Talihina (4-0 and 1-0) gets its toughest test of the year after a string of easy wins as the Golden Tigers travel to Gore (3-1 and 1-0) in an important game to decide district standings and potential playoff spots.
After losing to Quinton last week, Arkoma has a bye this week before starting district play next week at Gans.
