LeFlore County football teams had a good week as they went 6-1 in Week 6 football games going into the short week leading up to Thursday’s games over the fall break.
Heavener defeated Roland on the road, 48-21, for the Wolves’ first win in the series since 2013; Poteau bounced back from last week’s loss to keep Glenpool winless in a 35-13 victory; Spiro won the battle of winless teams in a thriller, defeating Wilburton, 43-42; Pocola blasted Hulbert, 60-16, Thursday night; Talihina came closer to capturing a district championship with a 27-6 victory at home over Central; Arkoma opened district play with a 38-6 victory at Gans; while Panama suffered the county’s only defeat, losing at home, 28-6, to Rejoice Christian.
