Bonnie Mae Payne, 95, of Poteau passed away May 31, 2022, and was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Knott Hole.
She is survived by children Bill Newnam of Poteau and Susan Salmeron of Ypsilanti, Michigan; seven grandchildren (Shane and Shawn Hughes, Raun Williams, Jason Lee, Kelli Johnson, Mike and Missy Newnam) 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Payne, daughter, Linda Williams, parents, Pearl and Jim Brown; and siblings J.R. Hilton, Sonny Brown, and Inez Knight.
