The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a flood watch through Thursday afternoon for LeFlore County, most of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood prone locations. The Poteau River may rise into the flood stage during this heavy rain.
