Talihina (9-1) hosts Barnsdall (6-4) as the Golden Tigers finished in a three-way tie for first place in the districts and were seeded first due to district points. Tonkawa was fourth in its district. Talihina’s performance this season was even more impressive as the Golden Tigers didn’t have enough players to play a varsity schedule only two seasons ago.
Tonkawa (6-4) visits Pocola (8-2) in the other game to be played in LeFlore County. This is a two vs. three matchup which are typically the most competitive games in the opening round of the playoffs.
Poteau and Panama both fought their ways into the playoffs with road wins in Week 10. Poteau won at Broken Bow, 31-0, while the Razorbacks defeated Hartshorne, 12-10.
Poteau (6-4) visits Wagoner (10-0) in what will likely be the toughest playoff game for county teams. This is Poteau’s 12th straight trip to the playoffs and the third time the Pirates traveled to Wagoner to open the playoffs and the fourth time overall as Poteau defeated the Bulldogs in the semifinals in 2019 en route to a state championship.
Panama (6-4) travels to Pawnee (7-3) in another tough opener for a county team. The Razorbacks finished in a three-way tie for third place with Hartshorne and Warner. Hartshorne is seeded third, Panama comes in fourth and Warner was eliminated due to district points so this isn’t your typical one vs. four matchup.
Oklahoma football brackets for all classes.
