Funeral service
Funeral service for Leona Pauline Kannady, 91, of Pocola is 2 p.m. Monday at Pocola Heights Church. Officiating the service will be Gaylon Freeman. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born Feb. 7, 1933 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Elsie Swink (Hardcastle) and William Adair Swink. She passed away Nov. 25, 2024 in Pocola.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Kannady; her parents; two brothers; a grandson; great granddaughter; great-great-grandson; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Surviving family members are three daughters Connie, Cecilia and Darlene; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing is from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday at Evans and Miller Chapel in Pocola.
