Funeral service for Lois Brown

Funeral service for Lois Brown, 94, of Howe is 2 p.m. Friday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Reverend Marshall “Petie” Faulkenberry officiating.

Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Lois Dean (Faulkenberry) Brown was born Sept., 1928 in Howe to Morris and Ova (Dickerson) Faulkenberry and went to her heavenly home Jan. 21, 2023 in Pocola.

Lois was a well-known citizen of Howe and a homemaker. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants. Lois also was a clerk for several different stores. She loved spending time cooking for others. She always made sure no one in Howe went hungry. Lois spent countless hours helping at the Senior Center and being the first one at the door to take food to the loved ones that have had a death in the family. She will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She is survived by two daughters Kay Wolf and husband Danny of Hackett, Arkansas, and Marilyn Ray of Howe; one son Frankie Brown and wife Debbie of Keota; one sister, Mary Sue Highfill, of Heavener; one brother, Marshall Faulkenberry, of Yanis, Texas; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ova and Morris Faulkenberry; her husband, Lloyd Brown; two sisters twin Erma Bowles and Wanda Faulkenberry; and one son Jackie Brown.

Pallbearers are L.C. Brown, Joe Dawes, Allen Bowles, Jason Bowles, David Salsman, Jr. and Justin Vickers.

Viewing is from 1 until 7 p.m. Tuesday; and 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday; 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
