Funeral service set for George Clark Espinel

Funeral service set for George Clark Espinel of Wister at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister with Pastor Josh Effinger officiating. Burial is in Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

He was born May 14, 1974 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Jose Antonio Espinel and Dorothy (Muntz) Lewallen and passed away Jan. 11, 2023 in Wister.

Bio

George was a truck driver with McGee Logging. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding in his boat and shooting his gun. George loved his family, especially his children. He had a huge heart and loved to help people in any way. George will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors

He is survived by his wife, Sabrina Logan-Espinel, of the home; four daughters Lynsey Espinel of Poteau, Samantha Haag of Wister, Chaylene Espinel of Wister and Tory Halford of the home; two sons George Matthew Espinel and wife Sarah of Cameron, and C. J. Halford of the home; two brothers Joseph Espinel and wife Jessica of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, and John Espinel of Guatemala City, Guatemala; two grandchildren Matlee Rue Espinel of Cameron and Gabriel Haag of Wister; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Jeff Dean and wife Cindy of Howe; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends whom loved him very much.

Preceded by

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Luis Jose Espinel.

Viewing

Viewing is from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
