Grandbaby #2 is set to arrive December 27th, and there are no absolutely no surprises about her, so far. Thanks to modern technology, we know her gender, weight, hair style, favorite color, and anything else parents need to know to start newborns off on the “walk of life.” A name has not been chosen yet, but when it is, it will probably not surprise us.
There will be surprises, though. The largest will be for big brother Lincoln, who has been the center of attention for just over 2 years. I suspect he will adapt quickly. Big changes are coming, though.
And speaking of big changes: health issues are making it necessary for me to end my Briar Circle column with the LeFlore County Journal. I do not like this, but it’s been happening for some time, now.
Of course I want to thank Craig Hall for giving me the opportunity to contribute over a decade ago. And I want to thank numerous readers for their support and encouragement.
And what about the wilderness shack? I intend to use it several more times, but the doctors and family do not want me going there alone. (We’ll see.) Son Mason will inherit it, but not too soon.
Meanwhile, the Good Lord has given so much to be thankful for. I wish you a Christ filled Christmas and blessings for the New Year.
