Heavener City Council will meet in a regular business meeting 6 p.m. Thursday in Heavener’s City Hall at 103 East Avenue B.

1. New Business / Public Comments (the public will be recognized by the Mayor from a sign-in sheet, where each citizen wishing to address the city commission, shall sign their name and the request or purpose for being recognized). 

2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting.

3. Approval of purchase orders presented for payment.

4. Consider and take action on code violations for Sarah Young, for property located at 507 East 6^th Street, for dilapidated building and public safety violations.

5. Open bids for demolition of 507 East 6^th Street.

6. Consider and take action on code violations for Charles Lewallin, for property located at 525 West Avenue C, for trash accumulation and harboring vermin.

7. Consider and take action on code violations for Francisco Perez & Jesus Rangel & Maria Gloria Perez, for property located at 509 West Avenue F, for rank weeds and grass and trash accumulation.

8. Consider and take action on code violations for LeFlore County, for property located at 414 West Avenue H, for rank weeds and grass and trash accumulation.

9. Consider and take action on code violations for LeFlore County, 402 West Avenue H, for rank weeds and grass and trash accumulation.

10. Consider and take action on code violations for LeFlore County, 702 East 1^st Street, for rank weeds and grass and trash accumulation.

11. Consider and take action on code violations for Kurt Leithe, for property located at 1399 Morris Creek, for rank weeds and grass.

12. City Commission votes to enter into executive session (requires majority vote of quorum of the members present to enter).

13. Enter executive session with city manager and attorney for confidential communications, as authorized by 25 O.S. Sect. 307 (B) concerning:

1. Discussion on resumes submitted for the hiring for the open city manager position
2. Discussion on employment details of Chelsea Sweet for her appointment to the open city manager position.
3. Promoting Officer Mason Mitchell from part time to full time at the rate of $17.50 per hour.

14. Reconvene in open meeting.

15. Consider, discuss and take action on resumes submitted for the open city manager position.

16. Consider, discuss and take action on employment details of Chelsea Sweet for her appointment to the open city manager position.

17. Consider, discuss and take action to promote Officer Mason Mitchell from part time to full time at the rate of $17.50 per hour effective 12-06-24.

18. Consider, discuss and take action on upcoming ordinance change for general speed limits in city limits.
