Heavener Public Library will hold its “Card Carnival” Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A library card is the “ticket” for fun where library visitors of all ages can enjoy free hot dogs, cotton candy, drinks, games and prizes to celebrate National Library Card Signup Month. If you currently do not have a library card, joining in the party is as simple as signing up for free by visiting the library customer service desk.
The Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) is made up of 16 libraries located in seven counties throughout SE Oklahoma. A SEOLS library card is welcomed at all locations as well as the Bookmobile, regardless of which is closest to home for customers.
“A library card does so much more than check out books these days”, says Julie Horton, Outreach Coordinator for SEOLS. With so much available within every SEOLS library, everyone from toddlers to seniors can explore yesterday’s heritage, today’s information, and tomorrow’s dreams through engaging programs, classes, and events as well as have free access to the latest in equipment and technology. The best services remain the same, however. Checking out the latest bestsellers, in book or audiobook form, DVDs, video games, items within the SEOLS Library of Things is as simple as making a trip to your local library or making your selection at seolibraries.com.
For more information email Horton at [email protected]. A calendar of all upcoming SEOLS events can be accessed at www.seolibraries.com.
