POTEAU—Heavener completed the season sweep over Poteau Saturday with a pair of wins.
The Lady Wolves opened with a 54-38 win in the opener before Heavener’s boys completed the sweep with a come-from-behind 47-40 victory in the second game of Saturday’s basketball doubleheader.
Both Heavener teams earlier defeated Poteau in the LeFlore County Tournament in January.
Heavener’s girls are now 7-16 and the Wolves are 11-12. Heavener plays at Pocola Tuesday. Poteau’s girls are 3-15 while the Pirates drop to 6-14. Poteau hosts Roland Tuesday.
