TULSA- Oral Roberts’ women picked up their 20th win of the basketball season Saturday, defeating the Kansas City Roos, 109-88.

The win marked back-to-back 20+ win seasons for the program for the first time since 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Taleyah Jones led the Golden Eagles in scoring for the third straight game, logging 28 points on 11-21 shooting from the field to go along with six boards. Jalei Oglesby followed Jones’ 28 with 27 points of her own, shooting 10-17 from the field while grabbing five rebounds. Meghan Weinrich set a new career-high in points, scoring 16 on the night, shooting a team-high 6-8 (75.0%) from the field. Ruthie Udoumoh tallied 15 points while leading the team in rebounds, with eight. Emily Robinson finished in double-figures for the 11th time this season, putting 11 points on the stat sheet.

The Golden Eagles looked slow out of the gate, allowing a 6-0 Roo run in the first 2:04 of action. Back-to-back jumpers from Meghan Weinrich helped ORU get back into a rhythm, cutting a once six-point deficit, to one (9-10). Six points from Jalei Oglesby in the final 3:23 of the quarter helped the Golden Eagles spark an 11-4 run during the time frame, leading 28-20 after one.
