HEAVENER – The Heavener Utilities Authority and City Council discussed the budgets for the 2022-2023 calendar year during meetings Thursday at Heavener’s City Hall.
Present were Mayor Max Roberts, council members Melinda Ballantine, Marvin Meredith and Jim Roll along with HUA members Billy Adrean and Jim Carr.
The HUA was meeting in a special session primarily to discus the budgets which will be ratified at the next meetings on June 16.
The council heard from Kacee Frady, who is wanting to produce herbal products in her house on the west side of Heavener to sell to dispensaries. She said she will not use butane or other dangerous chemicals to produce the product. Her home is in a residential area and the request will be forwarded to the city attorney.
The council took action on the following code violations:
For Robert and Diana Morrison, for property located at 1000 West 2nd street, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; for Michael and Billie Luman, for property located at 304 West Avenue G, for allowing the accumulation of trash, rank grass and weeds, and an untagged vehicle; for Riley Bradford Easton, for property located on West Avenue I, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; for Twin Peaks LLC, for property located at Loblolly and Cypress Street, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; for for Francisco Perez, Jesus Rangel and Maria Gloria Ruiz, for property located at 509 West Avenue. F, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; for LeFlore County, for property located at 414 West Avenue H and 402 West Avenue H, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; for Rival Properties MHP-1 LLC, for property located at 203 Blackwell, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; for Phyllis McCall, for property located at 300 West 4th street, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds; and Mountain Gateway Investments LLC, for property located at 102 Hall Street, for allowing the accumulation of trash, and rank grass and weeds.
