Lady Wolves go 3-2 in tournament

WEBBERS FALLS—Heavener’s girls went 3-2 in the Webbers Falls Tournament Thursday.

The Lady Wolves are 9-5 and visit Panama Monday.

Heavener opened with a 16-0 win over the hosts, lost to Wister, 3-1, beat Webbers Falls again, 10-0, defeated Roland, 15-8 before falling again to Wister, 10-3.

In the opening win over Webbers Falls, Heavener scored five runs in the first inning and 11 more in the second.

Gracie Morrison doubled and went 3-3 with two RBI and two runs, Kinley Brand doubled and was 2-3 with two runs and a RBI, Mariana Garcia went 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Anleigh Hackney finished 2-3 with two runs and a RBI, Ava Cartwright tripled while going 1-3 with two runs and a RBI and Paisley Stacy doubled in a 1-1 outing with two runs and a RBI.

In the first loss to Wister, the Lady Wildcats took the lead by scoring two runs in the third and added an insurance run in the sixth inning of the 3-1 victory.

Brand doubled and went 2-4 with a run.

Heavener’s second game against Webbers Falls also ended early as the Lady Wolves won by run-rule in the fourth inning, 10-0.

Cartwright tripled and went 3-3 with two RBI and two runs, Brand was 2-3 with three runs and two RBI, Brooklyn May had a 2-2 outing with two runs and McKinley Alexander tripled in a 1-2 game with two runs and a RBI.

Heavener stayed alive with the 15-8 win over Roland.

Morrison doubled twice and went 3-4 with two runs and a RBI, Cartwright homered twice and was 2-4 with three RBI and three runs, Stacy had a 2-4 game with one RBI and one run, Addley McAlester was 2-2 with two runs and a RBI and Brand doubled while going 1-3 with three RBI and a run.

In the final loss to Wister, Heavener led 2-1 until Wister scored three times in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good.
