LCT semifinals set after Tuesday

Semifinals are set for the 2025 basketball LeFlore County Tournament after Tuesday’s quarterfinal play.

There were two mild surprised to seeded teams as Talihina’s girls defeated third-seeded Whitesboro, 47-46, and Howe’s boys knocked off fourth-seeded Talihina, 52-42. The other six seeds advanced in the winner’s bracket.

Semifinals are held at Spiro. For the girls in Thursday’s semifinals, Pocola plays Panama at 7 p.m. with Howe and Talihina playing at approximately 8:30 p.m.

For the boys in Friday’s semifinals, top-seeded Pocola plays Howe at 7 p.m. with Panama and Heavener playing at 8:30 p.m.

Semifinal winners advance to Saturday’s championship games at Spiro. Girls play 7 p.m. with the boys playing following the first game.
