Clear skies and brutally hot temperatures Wednesday that are forecast to tie the all-time high for the day of 102 set back in 1998 in LeFlore County.

An excessive heat advisory has been issued through Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. each day.

Sunrise is 6:10 a.m. with sunset at 8:36 p.m.

Tuesday’s high was 101 with a low of 73.

Average temperatures for July 6 are a high of 92 and a low of 69. Records for the date were a high of 102 in 1998 and a low of 61 in 1997.

Last year on this date the high was 82 with a low of 69. Temperatures are expected to hit 100 degrees each day through July 13, although there is a chance of precipitation Saturday.
