The Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) is celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month by unveiling six new library card designs, available for a limited time.
These designs feature unique and vibrant images to appeal to all ages, including a sea turtle, the scenic Talimena Drive, an arrowhead with a scissortail flycatcher, books, a buffalo and a dinosaur.
“We wanted to offer something special to our patrons, both new and existing, and these
designs are a great way to showcase the diverse beauty and culture of Southeast
Oklahoma,” said SEOLS Marketing Coordinator Eddie Gray. “A library card is more than
just access to books; it’s a passport to learning, adventure, and community.”
Library cards are free for residents, and we encourage everyone to get one, whether
you’re a new borrower or looking to replace your old card with one of our new designs.
Getting a library card is simple You must be 18 years old or older with a state-issued ID showing residency in one of our seven counties (Pittsburg, Haskell, LeFlore, Latimer, Coal, Choctaw, or McCurtain) if your ID does not show your current address, you may bring a piece of mail, a voter registration card, or vehicle insurance document proving you live in the area. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to obtain a card.
These new library card designs are a celebration of our community and the natural
wonders that surround us. By signing up for a library card, patrons gain access to a
world of resources, including books, digital media, DVDs, videogames and more.
