Mary Beth Bandy

Mary Beth Bandy of Heavener was born Nov. 29, 1943 in Lawton to Vera Jackson and Dorothy Iren (Rains) Davis and passed away Nov. 9, 2024 in Heavener at the age of 80.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sonya Nix officiating. Interment will be in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Mary Beth was longtime resident of the area. She was a 1962 graduate of Lawton High School. Mary Beth worked many different jobs such as waitress, housekeeper, nurses’ aide, bookkeeper and caregiver. She worked also at Devil Bowles Speedway. Mary Beth was always full of life and always loved a good laugh. She will be missed by all whom loved and knew her.

Surviving family members are one daughter Donna Thomas and husband Shannon of Heavener; one son Jack Bandy and wife Carol of Seagoville, Texas; four grandchildren Theron Bowles, Harley Calhoun, Jordan Phillips and Jodi Morgan; four great-grandchildren; numerous other loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Bandy; and one brother, Bryant Davis.

Pallbearers are Shannon Thomas, Juan Villanueva, Jack Bandy, Jason Bandy, Chad Bandy and Dylan Roberts.

Viewing is Monday from noon until 8:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home
