NWS issues heat advisory for 7-16-2024

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a heat advisory for Tuesday from noon until 8 p.m.

Heat index values of 105 to 110 are expected.

Heat-related illnesses are possible especially impacting those not acclimated to the conditions or those performing strenuous activities.

Everybody is encouraged to take precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
