Bonnie Hardin passed peacefully from this Earth on Jan. 12, 2025 at the age of 80 at home in Heavener.
Lavonna Perry Allison (Bonnie) was born May 14, 1944, in Norman to her parents Albert Audrey Allison and Dessie Pauline Mattocks, she lived a life defined by resilience, love and dedication to those around her.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life is 2 p.m. Friday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Reverend Phil McGehee officiating. Interment will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener.
She was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Port Charlotte, Florida. Lavonna also found joy and success as a member of the APA Pool Tournament Association. She won many prizes and trophies for her outstanding achievements in billiards, showcasing her skill and passion for the game.
Lavonna had a creative and industrious spirit, which shone through in her love of crocheting, cooking, arts and crafts of all kinds and drawing house and garden plans. She worked as a laborer and homemaker, taking on roles such as upholsterer, bartender, waitress, head chef, rock yard clerk/stacker and store clerk. Yet, above all, she will be remembered as a dear friend to many and a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt to so many.
Her life was a testament to strength and perseverance. Lavonna overcame countless obstacles that would have caused most to falter, enduring them with courage and grace. She lived much of her life silently coping with multiple personality disorder, a struggle she bore with quiet dignity because most people fail to realize the depth of mental health conditions and the need for those individuals suffering with them to be loved, understood and treated both medically and with respect.
Her strength, kindness, and the unconditional love she shared with those around her will remain a guiding light for her family and all who knew her.
Survivors are her children Edgar Philip Wesson Jr (Junior) of Colbert, William Boyd McIntyre (Billy) of Dekalb, Texas, Clifton W. McIntyre (Skip) of New Boston, Texas, William Wayne Hardin (Bill) and wife Nancy of Howe, Ronald Eugene Imhoof of Wister, Leanease Renee Smith of Heavener, Shawn Karl Imhoof and wife Patty of Port Charlotte, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
