Obituary for Carol Newcomer of Heavener

Carol Louise Newcomer of Heavener was born March 10, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington to Ferdinand Sabota and Bertha (Kooner) King and passed away July 28, 2024 in Heavener, at the age of 77.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Carol was a longtime resident of the area and was a Budget Optar Clerk for the U.S. Navy Civil Service.  She was a veteran, where she served in the United States Navy. Carol enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Carol will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Johnny Newcomer, of the home; two sons Sean Newcomer of Jacksonville, Florida and Scott Newcomer and wife Crystal of Jacksonville; one brother, Ferdinand Sabota, of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother-in-law, Tommy Newcomer, of Heavener; two step-grandchildren J.T. Belz and Brandy Belz of Jacksonville; numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ferdinand Sabota and Bertha King; and two brothers Richard and Robert Sabota.
