Obituary for Christopher Morgin

Christopher Edmond Morgin, Sr., 79, of Heavener was born Feb. 26, 1945 in San Jose, California to Nathan and Mable (Bebeau) Morgin and passed away Jan. 28, 2025 in Heavener.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau.

Christopher was a longtime resident of the area and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver for Overland Trucking. Christopher loved going to church, fishing, Nascar, and football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Morgin, of the home; seven daughters Shana Fox of Gainesville, Georgia, Becky New of Gainesville, Georgia, Christina Morgin of California, Teresa Howard of California, Kathy Morgin of California, Cherlyn Morgin of California, and Patsy Lerch and husband of Cameron; two sons Harvey Joe Steelman of California and Christopher Morgin, Jr. of California; 53 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; four sisters Claudia Wethington of California, Julie Henderson of California, Esther Foley of Oregon and Rita Morgin of California; numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Mable Morgin; and two grandsons William Lerch and Kyle Steelman.
