Obituary for Dale Copeland

Dale Berry Copeland, 70, of Bengal was born June 24, 1954 in Iron Post to Silas and Edna (Edwards) Copeland and passed away Jan. 27, 2025 at his home in Bengal.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau.

Dale was a longtime resident of the area. He was a retired Pastor. Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi “Junie†Copeland, of the home; one daughter and jusband Bud and Junie Ellis of Bengal; three sons Nathan Copeland and wife Julie of Bengal, Joshua Copeland of Sapulpa and Zachary Copeland of Bengal; his grandchildren Jayla, Braden, Erika, Jadon, Jerad and Jake Ellis, Cadence, Mandalynne, and Gibson Copeland and Braxton Copeland; five sisters Wilma and Travis Martin of Locust Grove, Naomi and Dennis Mersdorf of Nampa, Idaho, Lorene and David Alley of Wilder, Idaho, Rosella Benny of Sapulpa, and Retha and Matt Grisham of Sapulpa; two sisters in law Mernie Copeland of Hartshorne and Jeanie Copeland of Locust Grove; numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Edna Copeland; two brothers Jearl and David Copeland; two brothers-in-law Thomas Dickard and Rodger Benny; and two grandsons Jabin Ellis and Aaron Copeland.
