Obituary for David Nobles

David Eugene Nobles, 59, of Heavener was born July 11, 1963 in Poteau to Harold and Mary Sue (Hamner) Nobles and passed away May 4, 2023 in Shearwood, Arkansas.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Dylan Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Reichert Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

David was a 1982 graduate of Panama High School. He was a longtime resident of the area and a roughneck in the Oil Field. David loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved to grill on the smoker. David was a loving dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by two daughters Stephanie Nobles of Spiro and Stacey Nobles of St. Ignace, Michigan; a step-daughter, Nikki Hope of Poteau; two step-sons Jarrett Goforth of Howe and Derrick Taylor of Coalgate; a sister, Linda Clinton, of Heavener; a brother, Gary Don Nobles, of Heavener; a grandson, Brody Smith; and numerous other loved ones and a host of friends

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary Sue Nobles; and one brother, Tony Nobles.

Pallbearers are Daryl Hetherington, Mike Turnipseed, Brian Tackett, Randy McKinney and Jo Davis.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
