Obituary for Donnie Ray Alexander

Donnie Ray Alexander, 73, of Howe was born July 1, 1951 in Upland, California to Lee and Bertha Marie (Bloyd) Alexander and passed away Jan. 22, 2025 in Howe.

Donnie’s funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday at Springhill Baptist Church in Howe, with Pastor Keno King officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Uniontown, Arkansas, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau.

Donnie was a long-time resident of the area, a member of Springhill Baptist Church, and a retired Construction Superintendent for Wynn Construction. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Donnie loved to help people, especially providing free oil changes for anyone in need. He also enjoyed working with metal and wood fabricating various designs. Donnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Donnie is survived by his wife, Jeanie Alexander, of the home; one daughter Tamme Fulton and husband Butch of Arkansas City, Kansas; two sons Jonathan Alexander and Amy of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Bryan Alexander and wife Tonya of Edmond; two sisters Dian Evans and husband Larry of Monroe, and Alice Alexander of Atoka; brother-in-law, Jerry Standifer, of Howe; seven grandchildren Kaitlyn Voss and husband Ryan of Centerton, Arkansas, Weston Alexander and wife Elizabeth of Van Buren, Arkansas, Dillon Fulton of Arkansas City, Kansas, Haylee Alexander of Edmond, Shelby Alexander of Rogers, Arkansas, Landon Alexander of Edmond and Savannah Alexander of Edmond; five great-grandchildren Avacyn Fulton, Aleelah Fulton, Waylon Voss, Bennett Voss and Harper Alexander; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Debbie Alexander; one sister, Nancy Standifer; and one grandson, Derek Fulton.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Alexander, Bryan Alexander, Weston Alexander, Landon Alexander, Butch Fulton, Dillon Fulton, Randy Long and Christian Calvaruzo.

Viewing is from 1 until 6 p.m. with the family visiting with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
