Obituary for Jamar Johnson of Spiro
Funeral service for Jamar Johnson, 42, of Spiro is 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Spiro with Reverend Shawn Caldwell and Justin “Jab” Warren officiating.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro.
Jamar Eugene Johnson was born March 1, 1982 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Doris Ann (Alexander) Johnson and Ervin Eugene Johnson and passed away July 4, 2024 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He married Nikki Sebo July 15, 2000 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Jamar was a proud 2000 graduate of Spiro High School. He was Little League football president and loved to watch his boys play ball. Coaching, hunting and fishing were some of his favorite hobbies. Jamar is truly going to be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his wife, Nikki Sebo Johnson; sons A.J. Johnson and wife Ari, Nick Johnson, Jordan Johnson and Brix Johnson; granddaughter, Avalynn Johnson; hisĀ parents Ervin and Doris Johnson; sister Shanice Brewer and husband Aaron; mother-in-law; Brenda Sebo, numerous other relatives, loved one and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beulah Mae Green; and his father-in-law, Ballis “Pops” Sebo.
Viewing and visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with the family greeting Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are AJ Johnson, Nick Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Robert Kongta, Neal Hayes and Jordan Caldwell.
