Obituary for Linda Sue “Suzie” Faulkenberry

Linda Sue “Suzie” Faulkenberry, 85, of Heavener was born Aug. 21, 1938 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Joe and Grace (Wilsey) Gillespie and passed away Aug. 28, 2023 in Pocola.

Memorial service is 5 p.m. Friday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brian Harris officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

She was known as Suzie by all of her friends and loved ones. Suzie spent the last 18 years of her life in nursing facilities, where she made many friends, from the other residents, to the employees themselves. She was famous for her words, yoo-hoo. Prior to the nursing facility, she was known as one of the owners of the Little Country Club/Bar. Suzie also loved to travel and check out the casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was always full of life and always loved a good laugh. Suzie will be missed by all whom loved and knew her.

Surviving family members are two sons Michael Psencik of Dallas, Texas and Matthew Psencik of Mulberry, Arkansas; two granddaughters Cheyenne Psencik and Lake Psencik both of Poteau;

other relatives and a host of friends.
