With hearts full of love and memories, we celebrate the beautiful life of Melba June Davidson, who passed away Feb. 3, 2025, at the age of 86 in Rosenberg, Texas.
Born June 5, 1938 in Spiro, to Juanita (Blevins) Schrimsher and Howard Schrimsher, Melba was a woman of unwavering strength, faith and devotion. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness and perseverance touched everyone she met.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro with Justin “Jab” Warren officiating. She will be laid to rest Monday at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
She was a longtime member of Victory Worship Center in Spiro, where her faith provided her with strength throughout her life’s journey. Despite being born with a kidney disease that presented many challenges, she never let obstacles define her. Instead, she faced life with determination, courage, and an unbreakable spirit.
Melba’s legacy of love continues through her daughter, Jo Ana Davidson; sisters Alice Fisk, Bernice Rhoades, Loretta Whitman, Ruth Slankard, Mildred Schrimsher and Nina Goins; brother, Lewis Schrimsher; grandchildren Heather Turner and Natalie Stevens; and great-grandchildren, Joseph Turner, Alexa Turner, Jolie Turner; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives; and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Roy Davidson; her son, Roy Davidson; and step-children Mitchell Davidson and Ellen Hooper.
Viewing is Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5 until 7 p.m.
Melba’s life was one of service, love, and resilience. Though she will be deeply missed, her warmth and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
