Obituary for Ray Booher Jr.

Ray Glynn Booher, Jr., 70, of Howe was born May 15, 1952 in Corona, California to Ray Glynn Booher, Sr. and Mary Francis (Myers) Booher and passed away Nov. 14, 2022 in Howe.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday in Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Ray was a long-time resident of the area, a retired Warden with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, and was of the Christian faith. He loved to sing and play musical instruments, was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers and Oklahoma Sooners fan, and enjoyed playing golf. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Diane, of the home; one daughter Michelle Heizer and husband Ross of Howe; two brothers Joe Booher of San Antonio, Texas and Jim Booher of California; six grandchildren Adam W. Spraybery, Seth A. Spraybery, Maegan E. Spraybery, Cameron M. Cardin, Carter Heizer and Paige Heizer; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Eric J. Booher.

Pallbearers are Adam Spraybery, Seth Spraybery, Ross Heizer, Cameron Cardin, Jerry Welty and Carter Heizer.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
