Obituary for Rosa Annis Lawson of Spiro, who was born March 19, 1960 in Sacramento, California to Robert Charles Johnson and Annalee Louise (Orsburn) Johnson and passed away Feb. 23, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 64.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center Chapel in Poteau with Billy Chism officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bokoshe Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau.
Rosa was a long-time resident of the area and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Rosa loved to read, play games and have family game night. She was a loving mother, sister, Nan-Nan, great Nan-Nan, and friend. Rosa will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Survivors are one daughter Theresa Carter and husband Tim of Spiro; one son Daniel Pollard and wife Linda of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three sisters Robin Chism and husband Bill of Henagar, Alabama, Leanna Hrachovy and husband Eddie of Los Lunas. New Mexico, and Lora Dollar of Knoxville, Tennessee; one special aunt, Bonnie Cook, of Anacoco, Louisiana; seven grandchildren
Shaylea Whisenhunt, Skyla Paul, Annastasia Pollard, Aubriella Pollard, Liam Pollard,
Wyatt Carter and Logan Carter; two great-grandchildren Aspyn Wann and Sunday Wann; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Annis Orsburn; her paternal grandparents, Marion and Rosa Johnson; her companion, Royce Robison; and two uncles, Frank Cook and Bud Orsburn.
Pallbearers are Billy Chism, Justin Chism, Rodney Cleveland, Jamie Baxter, Tim Carter and Joe Wann.
Viewing is from noon until 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
