Timothy Lee McBride, 63, of Poteau entered this world Nov. 24, 1961 in Pauls Valley to Wilmer Odes “Sam” and Drucille (Ritter) McBride and passed away Jan. 26, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Tim’s memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday in the Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center Chapel at 28918 205th. Avenue in Poteau with Pastor Jim Reed officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau.
Tim met the love of his life, Twylia, and married her July 3, 1982. Together, they brought in their pride and joys, Angela Starr McBride of Woodward, Adrianne McBride of Durant and Joey McBride of Poteau. He is also survived by four sisters Shirley Picklesimer, Sammie Thompson, Becky McBride, and Pat Vincent; his grandchildren Austin Ford, Harlee McBride, Preslee McBride, Ava Basham, Lennox McBride, Sylvia Basham, Ruckus McBride, Scarlett Basham, Aubree Knight and Braylee Knight; two great-grandchildren Katie Benson and Beau Ford; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was a CNC machinist before he retired to become a full-time Papa, which was his best and most favorite role outside of being a father and a husband. Tim loved his Sooners and whether they played good or bad would faithfully watch his team. Tim was a very hardworking man all his life from watching his son play football to being a father himself; he was always there to give advice or to help out whenever anyone was in need.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Drucille McBride; three sisters Neva Tackett, Gail Mayer and Cynthia Holderfield; and three brothers Ray McBride, Mackey McBride and Sam McBride.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris McCoy, Derek McGowan, Mikey Seymour, Mark McBride and Sammie Young.
Viewing is from noon until the service time Saturday at the Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center Chapel at 28918 205th Ave. in Poteau.
