Obituary for Tracey Freeman

Tracey Freeman, 56, of the Hontubby community was born June 13, 1967 in Talihina to Melvin Ray and Maxine (Jones) McCoy and passed away Sept. 25, 2023 surrounded by her family in her home in the Hontubby community.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Hodgen School Gymnasium with Brother David Hardin and Brother Bob Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Hontubby Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Tracey had a love for God that most can only dream of. Her faith was seen in how she lived her life. Tracey was a prayer warrior. She loved her family and her grandsons were her world. Tracey loved to garden, vacation with her family, camp, and ride the razor. She loved her school family; pre-k was where she was meant to be. Tracey will be loved and missed by all she touched.

Tracey is survived by her husband, Ray Freeman, of the home; one daughter, Farron Crouch, of the Hontubby community; one sister Sherry Hilderbrand and husband Jim of Poteau; one brother,

Joshua McCoy, of Poteau; two grandsons Eli Crouch and Tate Crouch of the Hontubby community; one sister-in-law, Donna Huckaby, of Heavener; one brother-in-law Larry Davis and wife Barbara of Muskogee; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Tracey is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Maxine McCoy; her son, Jacob Freeman; her mother-in-law, Liz Goodier and husband Grouch; brother-in-law, Clinton Huckaby; and one niece, Windy Davis.

Pallbearers are Stephen Huckaby, Bryan Huckaby, Garrett Huckaby, Kyler Terry, Cody McCoy, Eli Crouch, Logan Hilderbrand and Chris Hackney.

Viewing will begin at noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday; 9 a.m. until noon, Thursday. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
