Poteau holds off Hartshorne, 7-6

Poteau holds off Hartshorne, 7-6, in fast pitch softball play Friday.

Poteau improves to 3-1 and visits Sallisaw Monday.

The Lady Pirates built an early 5-2 lead, added two runs in the fourth then allowed four Hartshorne runs in the top of the fifth before shutting down the rally.

Emma Hackler pitched all five innings to get the win. She allowed eight hits and the six runs, two earned, with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Hackler doubled and finished 2-3 with two runs and one RBI, Briley Bowman was 2-3 with a run and a RBI and Maggie Wheat had a 2-3 game with one run and a RBI.
