Preston rallies past Wister, 4-3
SHAWNEE—Preston rallied back from a 3-0 deficit and scored the winning run on an infield single in the bottom of the fifth as the fifth-ranked Pirates edged No. 4 Wister, 4-3, Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A state baseball tournament here.
Preston advances to Friday’s semifinal against No. 1 Oktaha with a 26-3 record. Wister ends its season with a 23-7 record.

Jadyn Byars started for Wister and pitched 4.1 innings. He gave up two hits and three runs, all unearned, with seven strikeouts and four walks. Landon Donaho threw 2.1 innings, allowing to hits and one run, also unearned, with three strikeouts and no walks.
The Wildcats only managed three hits with Will Bryan doubling and going 1-2 with a RBI and a run.
