Robinson Construction wins bid on crossings

POTEAU – Robinson Construction successfully bid to remove and rebuild two low-water crossings at the LeFlore County Commission meeting on Monday morning.

At $75,000, the company was the only bidder for a crossing on Highline Road in District 1. Robinson was the lower of two bidders on a crossing on Station Road in District 2. Robinson bid $39,800 while Shipman bid $40,000.

Robinson also received a $16,716 payment for work done on the ongoing Conser Road project, which is being paid for by the Choctaw Nation and administered by the county.

Extreme Work and Play won the bid to purchase a 2011 backhoe from District 2. Robinson Construction bid $10,555 and Extreme Work and Play offered $28,000.

The board voted to accept the resignation of Larry Stacy from the County Excise Board. A replacement will be appointed later.

The six-month county highway material vendor list also was approved.
