MONROE – Funeral service for Ovil Brand, 81, of Monroe is 10 a.m. Thursday at Howe Missionary Baptist Church with Larry Stacey officiating. Burial will follow at Vaughn Cemetery in Gilmore, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 5, 1940 in Monroe to Opal (Mays) Brand and Arvil Brand and passed away July 24, 2022 in Howe.
Survivors include son Mark and wife Kally Brand; three sisters; two brothers; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Faye Brand; and one daughter, Kim Albert.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
