POTEAU – Funeral service for Tommy Dale Wilson, 71 of Poteau is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Reverend Jim Cook and Reverend Derek Glasco officiating.
Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau.
He was born July 22, 1950 in Upton, California to Martha Rella (Irwin) Wilson and Woodrow Dillard Wilson and passed away May 25, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He served in the Marines for 6 years and 16 years in the Oklahoma National Guard, and retired as a Major. Tommy was a rural carrier for 26 years in Poteau. He loved to play the guitar and sing. Tommy attended church at Solid Rock in Panama.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wilson; daughter Kim Neal and husband Jackie; and grandchildren Kaila Neal, Kelsey Neal and Joshua Neal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Martha Wilson; brothers, Dillard Wilson, Harold Wilson; and sister, Patricia Butler.
