Funeral service for Richard “Rick” Eugene Phillips, 74, of Fort Smith, Arkansas is noon Thursday at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro with Reverend Brandon Mooneyham officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1947 in Edmond to Anna Loraine Phillips and Cleo Pierson Phillips and passed away May 8, 2022 in Fort Smith.
Survivors include his daughter Cheryl Nelson and husband Phil; son, Ricky Phillips, Randy Goodson and wife Sheryl, George Murchison and wife Sophia, and Cody Phillips and wife Jessica; grandchildren Richard Phillips, Briar Phillips, Heather Phillips, Dalton Phillips, Justin Murchison, Maycee Blakley, Graycee Blakley, Temperance Blakley, Amber Wilson, Terianne Edwards, Amanda Sutton, Anthony Goodson, Patrick Nelson, Kendra Nelson, Emily Nelson, Hannah Nelson, Rebekah Nelson and David Nelson; great grandchildren, Ridge Phillips, Briar Phillips, Gracelyn Phillips, and Everly Ann Louise Murchison; and his brother, Jim Phillips.
He was preceded death by his parents Cleo and Loraine Phillips; his wife, Patsy Phillips; sisters Juanita, Boatright, Carol Thompson, Diane Sidebottom and Marilyn Phillips; his brothers Harold Phillips, Don Phillips and Ed Phillips.
Pallbearers are his sons and grandsons.
Viewing is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
