KINGSTON – Spiro split its two games in the 3A regional tournament here Friday to play at least one more game.
The Bulldogs, now 21-3, lost the opener to Kansas, 12-3, before bouncing back to whack Westville, 10-0.
Spiro plays Kansas again at noon Saturday with the winner playing Kansas. If the Bulldogs win both those games, they play again Monday for a trip to the state tournament.
In the win over Westville, Gannon Shackleford got the win, going all six innings and allowing five hits with six strikeouts and a walk.
Blake Dedmon doubled and was 2-3 with two RBI and a run, Shackleford went 2-3 with two RBI, Jared Huff had a 2-3 game with three RBI and a run, Bryan Hammontree doubled while going 1-3 with a RBI and a run, Dakota Perdue doubled in a 1-1 outing with a RBI and a run and Hunter Sparks also doubled while going 1-2 with two runs and a RBI.

In the earlier game, Kansas took the lead early en route to the 12-3 win to put the Bulldogs into the losers bracket.
Sparks started for Spiro and went 3.2 innings and allowed 10 hits and nine runs, all earned, with six strikeouts and three walks. Shawn Hogan pitched 1.1 innings with four hits and three runs, all earned, with a walk before Brycen Graham pitched the final innings, giving up two hits with one walk.
Shackleford doubled and was 2-3 with a RBI, Perdue homered while going 1-3 with a RBI and a run and Corbin Miller doubled and had a 1-3 outing.
